The free plugin it builds on
Quote Loop is a free WooCommerce plugin for shops that quote trade and wholesale customers by hand. The customer adds products to a quote basket and sends the request. You set each line's price and how many days the quote is valid, then send it. The customer opens a private link and accepts and pays, or declines. A quote that is not accepted in time expires.
It is pending WordPress.org review and is not in the plugin directory yet. This page will link to it once it is approved.
What the add-on adds
- A PDF quote attached to the quote email. Quote number, issue and valid-until dates, customer, line items, subtotal, tax and total. It is made on your server and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- Australian tax lines. Your ABN in the header and a GST line. Outside Australia, a tax ID line and a named tax (VAT, for example) at the rate you set. Rate 0 prints "prices exclude any tax".
- Multi-page. Long quotes run onto further pages; a 90-line quote is covered by the add-on's tests.
- Your logo and footer text. A JPEG from your own Media Library, plus a footer line (licensed copies).
- Reminder emails. Sent a set number of days before a quote expires, once per sent quote, with the PDF attached. Off until you switch it on.
Free mode, licence key
Without a licence key the add-on still makes PDF quotes and sends reminders. Each PDF carries a one-line "unlicensed copy" note, and the logo and footer text print once a key is entered. There is no trial clock and nothing stops working.
Limits
- You type your ABN or tax ID and the rate. The PDF prints them. It gives no tax advice and does not decide what tax applies.
- Prices on the quote are before tax, as in the free plugin.
- Helvetica only: Latin characters print, others show as "?".
- Tested on WordPress 7.1 with WooCommerce 11 (SQLite). Not yet tested on MySQL, multisite or variable products.
Price
A$49 a year, tax-inclusive (GST is part of the price)
One licence key per store. Planned, not on sale: the price is not final and no checkout exists yet.
A$49 a year: PDF quotes add-on (not charged yet)
The add-on does not have a checkout yet. The button only tells us you would want it; nothing is charged and no email address is taken. The free plugin does not need it.
Refunds
When it goes on sale, the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply and are not excluded by anything here. If the add-on does not work as described, you get a fix or a refund.
